Popular character artiste Rajeev Kanakala and star anchor Suma Kanakala’s son Roshan Kanakala made an impressive debut as an actor with the youthful entertainer, Bubblegum. The young hero has now joined hands with Sandeep Raaj, the director of the National Award-winning romantic drama, Colour Photo, for his next project. Leading Tollywood producer TG Vishwa Prasad will be bankrolling the project under his People Media Factory banner.

Roshan Kanakala’s new film has been interestingly titled Mowgli. The film’s unit made the official announcement about the project and the title earlier today on the auspicious festive season of Ganesh Chaturthi. Mowgli is touted as a contemporary love story set against a forest backdrop. Director Sandeep Raaj is said to have come up with a heartfelt story laced with emotional depth, like Colour Photo. The film’s first look poster features Roshan Kanakala in a vest, flaunting his muscles along with a horse in the middle of a dense forest.

Mowgli will be hitting theaters worldwide in summer next year. The makers are yet to announce the film’s leading lady’s name. Kaala Bhairava of the Oscar-winning Naatu Naatu song will compose the soundtrack for the movie. The film will be made on a huge scale, with a talented team of technicians working on it.
