During the promotions of Sikandar, Bollywood Megastar Salman Khan expressed his views about the growth of PAN-Indian films. The star actor said, “We always encourage South films here, but the same isn’t the case there. We go and watch them, but their fans don’t always come to watch ours.”

Salman says people down South recognize and greet him on the streets, but he adds that drawing them to theatres remains a big challenge. Salman pointed out that Bollywood audiences have always been eager to watch South films featuring actors like Rajini, Ram Charan, and Suriya, but he opines South audiences do not reciprocate the same love for Hindi films.

Salman further added, “I have collaborated extensively with South Indian technicians, directors, and actors throughout my career. However, when my films are released in the South, they don’t achieve the same level of success. This is because of the massive fan following that South stars enjoy.”
