Bollywood star Varun Dhawan and leading South actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu will soon be seen in the highly anticipated Amazon Prime series, Citadel: Honey Bunny. Directed by The Family Man duo Raj and DK, the show will premiere on the streaming giant on November 7. The recently released action-packed trailer is generating a solid buzz for this high-budget spy thriller.
And Varun Dhawan is all praise for his co-star Samantha. In a latest interview, he revealed that Samantha was the first actor he thought about after listening to Citadel Honey Bunny’s script. “When we spoke about this, the first person who came to my mind was Samantha. I thought, ‘If Sam does it, it will become huge, and we will bounce off each other very well.’ We’ve got a unique kind of chemistry,” said Varun.
Citadel Honey Bunny features a gritty and adrenaline-filled love and action saga of a stuntman Bunny (Varun) and a struggling actress Honey (Samantha) who join forces for a side gig. The show is executive produced by Anthony and Joe Russo and also features Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, and Kashvi Majmundar in key roles.
