In what can be considered bad news, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s father, Joseph Prabhu, passed away today. Samantha herself shared the news and posted, “Until we meet again, Dad.”
Samantha was born to Joseph Prabhu and Ninette Prabhu. Her father was a Telugu Anglo-Indian, while her mother is of Syrian-Malayali descent. She grew up in the Pallavaram neighborhood of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, as the youngest in her family, with two elder brothers, Jonathan and David.
The cause of her father’s death is yet to be confirmed, but the news has shocked everyone. In a recent interview, Samantha mentioned that her father had been one of those who discouraged her early in her career and this happened all of a sudden.
