The sensational Sandhya 70mm stampede case is witnessing new twists and turns with each passing day. While actor Allu Arjun awaits the next court hearing for his bail, the National Human Rights Commission’s (NHRC) latest move has added an interesting twist to the ongoing case.
The NHRC on Wednesday served a notice to the Telangana DGP and the Hyderabad Police Commissioner, instructing them to submit a detailed Action Taken Report (ATR) on the stampede case at the Sandhya 70mm theatre in which a woman named Revathi (35) lost her life within 4 weeks.
The NHRC has issued the notice following a complaint filed by Advocate Rama Rao Immaneni.The NHRC has sought the ATR on the lathi charge by police personnel during the stampede on December 4. The policemen allegedly resorted to a lathi charge that led to the unfortunate stampede that claimed Revathi’s life and severely injured her son Sreetej. Stay tuned for further updates on this case.
