Released on January 14 as a Sankranthi festive treat, Venkatesh and director Anil Ravipudi’s hat-trick film, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, turned out to be a huge blockbuster. The film is nearing the Rs 300 crore club at the global box office.
Celebrating Sankranthiki Vasthunnam’s massive success, the film’s distributors from the twin Telugu states held a gratitude meeting with the makers, Anil Ravipudi, and producers Dil Raju and Shirish, today. Speaking at the event, Nellore distributor Hari revealed that he bought the film’s Nellore rights for Rs 1.62 crore and that the film has landed them in huge profits with over 400 percent return on investment. Needless to say, this revelation speaks volumes about the impact Sankranthiki Vasthunnam has made at the box office.
Also starring young actresses Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary in lead roles, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam has a chartbuster soundtrack composed by Bheems Ceciroleo. The superhit audio album and Anil Ravipudi’s trademark family entertainment ensured this humongous success.
