In March 2024, OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar dropped a web series named Showtime, which featured Emraan Hashmi in the lead role. The show sheds light on the dark side of Hindi cinema and the things that happen behind the doors in Bollywood. The first season, constituting four episodes, received a decent response.
The second installment of Showtime will be available for streaming from 12th July in multiple languages. The makers will release all the remaining episodes in this installment. Sumit Roy, Lara Chandni, and Mithun Gangopadhya penned the story.
Directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, the show also stars Mahima Makwana, Mouni Roy, Shriya Saran, Rajeev Khandelwal, Vijay Raaz, Naseruddhin Shah, and Neeraj Madhav in crucial roles. Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, Mihir Desai, and Anand Raichura produced Showtime under the Dharmatic Entertainment banner.
