For the first time in his career, Shankar worked simultaneously on three films, Indian 2, Indian 3, and Game Changer. During the making of Indian 2, Shankar felt that the whole story couldn’t be told in one part, and hence, he planned a third installment as well. Indian 2’s shoot stalled after an unfortunate accident. Later, Shankar shifted his focus to Game Changer.
This is when Udhayanidhi Stalin entered the scene and pulled out all the stops, due to which Indian 2’s shoot resumed. As Shankar made three films at a time, many expressed doubts about the quality. During the Telugu promotions of Indian 2, Shankar was asked if working on three films parallelly has had any effect on the output.
Shankar said, “Impossible. There won’t be any difference. Even though I made three films parallelly, we have put in the same kind of effort. To be frank, we have put in additional effort for all three films so there shouldn’t be any doubts regarding the quality.”
Shankar added, “Corona also affected Indian 2’s shoot. During that time, we completed the prep, including scene writing, shot division, properties, costumes, and the list of artists. We were also done with the location scouting. As everything was ready, the process became easy for me while working on Game Changer. People need not worry about the quality of three films.”
