Salman Khan’s Eid release Sikandar failed to meet expectations and is on the verge of becoming a huge disaster. The film, directed by AR Murugadoss, received outright negative reviews, and it is witnessing huge drops every day at the box office. The bad response to Salman’s film is now working in favor of the holdover title Chhaava, headlined by Vicky Kaushal.

Since Sikandar turned out to be boring, moviegoers are once again showing interest in the period action drama. As a result, Chhaava is slowly inching towards the Rs. 600 crore nett mark. Only Stree 2 and Pushpa 2 achieved this feat earlier. Chhaava is just Rs. 6 crores short of the landmark, and it might unlock the achievement this weekend.

Chhaava is set to create history as it will be the first non-sequel film to make an entry into the Rs. 600 crore club. Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna played key roles. Maddock Films bankrolled this movie, which is based on Sambhaji Maharaj’s life. Laxman Utekar directed this sensation. The Telugu version released by Geetha Arts also turned out to be successful.
