Aamir first married his childhood sweetheart, Reena Dutta, in 1986. The ex-couple has a son named Junaid Khan and daughter Ira Khan. However, the marriage ended in a divorce in 2002. Aamir later fell in love with his Lagaan AD, Kiran Rao, and married her in 2006. The former couple announced the birth of their son, Azad Rao Khan, through surrogacy. Leaving their fans in shock, Aamir and Kiran Rao announced their separation in July 2021.
