Tamil actor Suriya is fully immersed in promoting his upcoming film Kanguva, an ambitious project known for its grand scale, ensemble cast, and extensive release plans. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the film is set for a grand theatrical release on November 14, 2024.
Recently, the team returned to Hyderabad for a promotional event, with acclaimed director SS Rajamouli appearing as the chief guest. During his address, Rajamouli shared that Suriya was a key inspiration in his decision to pursue pan-Indian cinema. Reflecting on Gajini’s release, he recalled how Suriya had come to the Telugu states and engaged the local audience, making them feel he was “one of them.” He added, “I often tell my producers and heroes that we need to connect with audiences across states in the same way. Suriya, thank you for inspiring me to make Baahubali a pan-Indian film.” His words were met with enthusiastic applause, and Suriya responded with a warm gesture of gratitude.
Kanguva is already creating substantial buzz, and a powerful theatrical trailer could solidify expectations further. The film stars Disha Patani opposite Suriya, with Studio Green and UV Creations joining forces as producers and Devi Sri Prasad composing the music. It will be released in multiple languages globally.
