Diwali releases Lucky Baskhar, Amaran, and KA received good word of mouth and the same is getting reflected in the box office numbers. After taking a terrific start, the three films have put on a good show on their second day as well. Lucky Baskhar, headlined by Dulquer Salmaan, once again topped the Nizam box office with a distributor share of Rs. 1.15 crores share (Day 1 share – Rs. 1.4 crores).
Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran, based on Major Mukundh Varadharajan’s life, collected Rs. 95 lakhs share on day two in Telangana. On the first day, the film made Rs. 1.15 crores share in this region. Both Lucky Baskhar and Amaran had a stronghold on day two. Kiran Abbavaram’s rural drama KA raked in Rs. 65 lakhs share on the second day, which is on par with the first-day numbers (Rs. 66 lakhs share).
All these figures are exclusive of GST. There is extraordinary demand for KA, and starting today, the showcasing will be increased wherever possible. After a poor Dusshera season, the Tollywood box office is witnessing solid revenues, which is the need of the hour.
