Aranmanai directed by Sundar C became the first blockbuster of Tamil cinema in 2024. The movie stars Sundar C, Tamannaah, and Raashii Khanna in pivotal roles. The horror comedy grossed nearly 90 crores at the global box office and revived in Tamil Nadu.
In a recent interview Sundar C revealed that he scrapped the romantic angle in Aranmanai 4 which was previously there in the script. He said that Vijay Sethupathi was initially cast as the protagonist and hence he penned a romantic track keeping him in mind.
Sundar C said, “The romantic track should have been between Raashii Khanna’s character and Vijay Sethupathi’s character which also included a song. As Vijay Sethupathi walked out due to scheduling conflicts the song was automatically removed.”
