Kollywood actor Suriya is looking to make a comeback with Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The film stars Pooja Hegde as the leading lady and is scheduled to open in cinemas on May 1. When the project was announced, everyone thought Retro was a gangster film, but Karthik Subbaraj clarified that it’s a love story with action elements.
The makers have released three songs so far and they are all set to drop the theatrical trailer on April 18. On the same day, the audio launch event will also take place. In an interview, Karthik Subbaraj stated that Retro has come out pretty well, and we need to see if the film lives up to the expectations.
Sizzling beauty Shriya Saran will be seen in a special dance number in this flick. Joju George, Jayaram, and Karunakaran are playing vital roles. Jyotika and Suriya are producing Retro under the banner of 2D Entertainment. Santosh Narayan is composing the tunes. Retro will clash with HIT 3 and Raid 2 at the box office.
