Kollywood sports drama Lubber Pandhu was a massive hit at the ticket windows. The film, headlined by Harish Kalyan, faced intense competition during its release, but it went on to win the hearts of the audience with its gripping content. To explain how big of a hit Lubber Pandhu is, the sports drama crossed the lifetime numbers of Captain Miller and Thangalaan in Tamil Nadu by collecting about Rs. 40 crores gross.
Lubber Pandhu is now available for streaming in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages on Disney Plus Hotstar. The OTT release should have happened a couple of weeks earlier, but was delayed due to the film’s remarkable theatrical run. While biggies are opting for a four-week theatrical window, Lubber Pandhu had a theatrical window of six weeks.
This Tamizharasan Pachamuthu’s directorial also stars Swasika, Sanjana, Kaali Venkat, Devadarshini, and Bala Saravanan in vital roles. Lubber Pandhu was bankrolled by Lakshman Kumar and Venkatesh under the banner of Prince Pictures. Sean Roldan composed the tunes.
