Lubber Pandhu, the latest Kollywood small-budget sports drama, emerged as a massive blockbuster at the ticket windows. Despite releasing alongside five other films, Lubber Pandhu struck a chord with the audience and set the cash registers ringing. The movie, spearheaded by Harish Kalyan and Dinesh, has raked in over 37 crores gross at the Tamil Nadu box office. Lubber Pandhu’s OTT rights are with Disney Plus Hotstar.
Initially, the OTT platform planned to release the film on 18th October. However, the digital release was postponed, citing the film’s exceptional performance in theatres. Here is the latest update about this Tamizharasan Pachamuthu’s directorial. Lubber Pandhu will be available for streaming from October 31, coinciding with Diwali.
The six-week theatrical window is a rarity in Tamil cinema. Along with Tamil, the sports drama will also be available in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages from the said date.
The movie also stars Swasika, Sanjana, Kaali Venkat, Devadarshini, and Bala Saravanan in vital roles. The movie was produced by Lakshman Kumar and Venkatesh under the banner of Prince Pictures. Sean Roldan composed the tunes.
