Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru was released directly on Amazon Prime Video, skipping theatrical release. It received accolades from both critics and audiences. Actor Suriya, also the film’s producer, announced the film’s Hindi remake featuring Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, with Sudha Kongara directing the remake as well.
A few months ago, the makers released a title glimpse and announced the release date. Now, the makers have reconfirmed the release date with a brand new poster. The film is set to hit the screens on July 12, 2024. It will be interesting to see how the Hindi audience receives this Hindi remake of the super hit Tamil movie.
The film features Paresh Rawal, Radhika Madan, and Seema Biswas in pivotal roles. Sudha Kongara and Shalini Ushadevi penned the story, and Pooja Tolani wrote the dialogues. The film is produced by Aruna Bhatia of Cape of Good Films, Suriya and Jyotika’s 2D Entertainment, and Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment.
