Released on February 22, the thrilling survival drama, Manjummel Boys, went on to become the all-time highest grossing movie in the history of Malayalam Cinema. The film has collected over Rs 200 crore gross globally, and is now gearing up for its Telugu release on April 6.
In a latest media interaction, Manjummel Boys’ director, Chidambaram, exudes confidence in the film’s success in the Telugu states. “Manjummel Boys is not a regular format film. I hope the excitement generated by the movie in Kerala will repeat in the Telugu states as well. I’m confident that Telugu audiences will enjoy the film,” Chidambaram said.
Manjummel Boys is inspired by a real incident that happened in 2006. The film showcases the valiant efforts displayed by a group of friends who risk their lives to save one of their friends who falls into a pit in the Guna Caves during their Kodaikanal trip.
Manjummel Boys features Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Basi, and several others in key roles. Babu Shahir, Soubin Shahir, and Shawn Antony produced the movie under the Parava Films banner. Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings banners are releasing Manjummel Boys in Telugu.
