Kollywood’s latest blockbuster, Thangalaan, starring Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role, has dazzled audiences and raked in over Rs. 100 crore gross at the box office, even without a Hindi release. The film, directed by Pa Ranjith, debuted in Hindi last Friday and has received a warm reception.
Netflix holds the streaming rights for Thangalaan across all major Indian languages, including Hindi. The buzz is that the film is set to premiere on Netflix in South Indian languages starting September 20, 2024, with the Hindi version to follow at a later date. An official announcement from Netflix is still pending.
Featuring a stellar cast including Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, and Daniel Caltagirone, Thangalaan is a collaboration between Studio Green and Neelam Productions. The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
