Global star Ram Charan made his highly anticipated acting debut in 2007 with Chirutha, directed by Puri Jagannadh. Co-starring Neha Sharma, the film was a box office success and established Charan as a force to be reckoned with in Tollywood.
However, a lesser-known fact about Chirutha has recently surfaced, leaving fans surprised. The film was originally scripted by Meher Ramesh, and what’s even more shocking – it wasn’t meant for Ram Charan at all! Initially, Puri Jagannadh’s brother, Sairam Shankar, was set to play the lead role, with Ramesh directing the project.
According to senior writer Thota Prasad, the movie had even gone on floors, with Mani Sharma as the music composer. A crucial shooting schedule was happened in Bangkok, but unexpected floods disrupted production, forcing the team to shelve the project after just one schedule.
