These two CBFC objections for Game Changer raise questions

The grand arrival of Game Changer, the most-anticipated political drama directed by Shankar Shanmugam, is just a few days away. Starring Bollywood actress Kiara Advani in the female lead role, this much-awaited film is set to release in multiple Indian languages on January 10, 2025.

The movie has been granted a U/A certificate by the CBFC, with a runtime of 2 hours and 45 minutes. However, the censor certificate recently surfaced online, revealing a couple of surprising objections that have caught the attention of audiences.

One of the objections stated that the movie’s title should also be presented in Telugu, alongside English. Another raised the issue of excluding the honorific “Padma Shri” before Brahmanandam’s name. These particular points have left many curious about the reasoning behind them.

Some have pointed out that Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD didn’t include Telugu text, raising questions about why the CBFC is making these specific demands for Game Changer. Others are puzzled by the removal of “Padma Shri” from Brahmanandam’s name. As the debate continues, clarity on these matters is eagerly awaited, and it remains to be seen who will provide the answers.
