These two Oscar-winning music directors roped in for Bollywood’s Ramayana

Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari has taken up the Ramayana project prestigiously as he roped in some of the best talents across the country for pivotal roles. Ranbir Kapoor is a gem of an actor who can portray any kind of role, and imagining him playing Lord Ram is sure to give us goosebumps. Yash is playing Ravan, while Sai Pallavi is essaying the role of Sita.

As per a report in Bollywood media, Oscar-winning music directors AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer have come on board for this tent-pole film. For those who are unaware, Hans Zimmer worked as the music composer for films like Dune, Dark Knight Trilogy, Gladiator, Inception, and The Lion King. Ramayana will be the first Indian film for Hans Zimmer.

The Ramayana subject has huge potential, and Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial can break all the Indian cinema records if it is made well. As the producers understood the potential, they decided to go all out in terms of everything. The report mentions that the makers want to represent Indian cinema at the international level. The project’s official announcement will happen on Sri Rama Navami, which is on April 17.

The makers planned Ramayana as a trilogy, and the team had already started shooting for the first part. Sunny Deol will play Lord Hanuman, Lara Dutta will essay the role of Kaikeyi, and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as Shurpanakha.
