In a recent interview, actor Sudheer Babu revealed his journey as a film distributor. Before making his debut as a hero, Sudheer Babu distributed a few films in the Guntur and Vizag regions, and interestingly, all the movies he distributed were blockbusters. Sudheer Babu distributed Arya, Ranam, Athanokkade, Nuvvosthanante Nenoddantana, Bommarillu, and Sye.
Revealing his experience as a distributor, Sudheer Babu said, “I did distribution along with my friends, and it was fun. UV Vamsi and 70MM Entertainments Vijay are my friends. Vamsi used to operate everything. Everybody invested their money, and Vamsi used to communicate with producers about the rights and getting prints. Those were the days we were dealing in prints. We used to carry the prints, which were more like an outing.”
Sudheer Babu continued, “Back then, we used to get the prints in the wee hours. I learned a lot while distributing movies. UV Vamsi was handling everything, and everybody contributed their money. I had a 100% track record. We had never watched any film before acquiring the rights. Later, I wanted to get into something very serious. That’s when I stopped.”
Sudheer Babu will be next seen in the action drama Harom Hara which is set against the Kuppam backdrop. The film, directed by Gnanasagar Dwaraka, has Malvika Sharma as the female lead. Sudheer Babu plays a gunsmith in this flick, which will hit the screens this Friday.
