Yatra, the biopic of the late CM Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, was a huge sensation in 2019. Mahi V Raghav, who directed Yatra, is now busy with its sequel, Yatra 2. Yatra 2 will showcase the political journey of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Tamil actor Jiva is playing the lead role.
The latest buzz in the film circles is that Bollywood actor Mahesh Manjrekar is roped in to play former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. The word is that scenes featuring Mahesh Manjrekar are currently being shot. Mammootty will also be seen in this sequel.
Shiva Meka is producing Yatra 2 under the banners of V Celluloid and Three Autumn Leaves Banner. Santhosh Narayanan is composing the tunes. Madhie is handling the cinematography. The political drama will be out in theatres on 8th February 2024.
