Annapurna Studios and Asian Cinemas, two of the leading Telugu film and distribution companies, are joining forces to release popular Tamil film stars GV Prakash Kumar and Aishwarya Rajesh’s quirky family comedy-drama, Dear. While Annapurna Studios has bagged Dear’s Andhra Pradesh distribution rights, Asian Cinemas has acquired the film’s theatrical rights for the Telangana region.
Dear will be releasing in cinemas across the twin Telugu states and overseas on April 12. The film is directed by Tamil filmmaker Anand Ravichandran and produced by Varun Tripuraneni, Abhishek Ramisetty, and G Pruthviraj under Nutmeg Productions banner. Interestingly, Dear’s Tamil version is hitting theaters worldwide on April 11, while the Telugu version is slated for release a day later. GV Prakash Kumar himself has composed the film’s audio album.
The two songs that were released recently in Tamil are ruling the charts, and the Telugu album will be released very soon. Dear also features Kaali Venkat, Ilavarasu, Rohini, Thalaivasal Vijay, Geetha Kailasam, and Nandini in key roles.
