The latest update reveals that this Varun Tej starrer will arrive digitally on December 5. Amazon Prime, which holds the post-theatrical streaming rights, made an official announcement. The theatrical window is three weeks. It will be interesting to see if Matka can attract OTT audience. Karuna Kumar of Palasa fame directed the film. Latest sensation Meenakshi Chaudhary played the female lead.
Bollywood beauty Nora Fatehi played a significant role. Matka is about a spirited man named Vasu who comes to Vizag as a refugee from Burma. The film explores Vasu’s rise from rags to riches from 1958 to 1982. Rajini Talluri and Dr. Vijayender Reddy Theegala produced it under the banners of SRT Entertainments and Vyra Entertainments.
