National Award-winning Kollywood star Vikram’s highly anticipated rural action drama, Veera Dheera Sooran 2 (Veera Dheera Soora Part 2 in Telugu), was released a couple of days ago amid high drama. The film’s morning and noon shows were cancelled all over the world, leaving the fans disappointed. However, the SU Arun Kumar directorial opened with the evening shows and received a thumping response from fans and critics.
Veera Dheera Sooran 2’s producer Shibu Thameens took to X and apologized for the terrible delay in the fillm’s release. “Apologies to Vikram sir, SUArunkumar the crew, distributors, Exhibitors, fans and entire audience for the delay in release,” the producer wrote in his post. He went on to say that contrary to the ongoing speculations, the delay was not due to any financial issues from the production house’s side.
“The OTT right holder (outright sale) couldn’t able to sell their rights before the theatrical release. To safe guard their investment, VDS was stopped at last moment & renegotiated,” Shibu Thameens revealed. Thanking all those who stepped in and supported during the film’s release, the producer expressed happiness as Veera Dheera Sooran 2 is “making a huge noise” at the box office.
Veera Dheera Sooran 2 also features SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Dushara Vijayan in lead roles. GV Prakash Kumar has scored the soundtrack.
