Vijay Sethupathi’s 50th film crosses 50 crores mark at the box office

Vijay Sethupathi’s landmark 50th film Maharaja is being lapped up big time by the audiences. Not just the Tamil version, but even the Telugu dubbed version is also contributing significantly. Though Vijay Sethupathi is doing a good job as an antagonist, the movies headlined by him haven’t performed well lately. Hence, Maharaja’s success is a sigh of relief for the versatile actor.

The comeback film of Vijay Sethupathi has now zoomed past the 50 crore gross mark at the worldwide box office. Maharaja is holding extremely well on the weekdays with minimal drops and is all set to emerge as a blockbuster very soon. It also has an outside chance of crossing the 100 crore mark, but again, it depends on how Kalki 2898 AD fares in Tamilnadu.

Maharaja is directed by Nithilan Swaminathan. The movie features Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, and Natty in key roles. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the tunes. The revenge thriller is a collaboration between Passion Studios, The Route, and Think Studios.
