Vijay’s Leo is an official remake of A History of Violence, confirms team member

Ever since actor Vijay’s highly-anticipated pan-India gangster drama, Leo, was in the making, there have been numerous speculations that the film is a freemake of the Hollywood action thriller, A History of Violence. Even the film’s posters and the recently released theatrical trailer had hinted the same.

Now, Aathma Patrick, the actor who has played a crucial role in Leo, has confirmed in a latest interview that Leo’s director Lokesh Kanagaraj had officially purchased the rights to adapt A History of Violence into Leo. “But each and every scene in Leo will be hundred times bigger than A History of Violence,” the actor added.

Lokesh does get inspired by Hollywood movies and take them to the next level, which was evident in some of his previous movies. Fans are now expecting the same feat with Leo. Also starring Trisha, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun in lead roles, the film opens in cinemas on October 19.
