Thalapathy Vijay was last seen in the family entertainer Varisu which was released during Sankranti 2023. The movie collected 300 crores gross at the worldwide box office. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, the movie had the National crush Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead.
Varisu had a simultaneous release in Telugu as Vaarasudu. The latest to be known is that Vaarasudu will have its world television premiere on June 25th at 6 PM on Gemini TV. The movie is currently streaming on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.
Dil Raju bankrolled Varisu under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Suman, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, and Sangeetha played vital roles. SS Thaman composed the tunes.
