Vishwak Sen’s Gaami to have two versions technically – Deets inside

Vishwak Sen’s Gaami received an A certificate from the censor board, and this further created more excitement among the movie buffs. Here is another interesting fact regarding this adventurous drama.

According to the director, Vidhyadhar, there are two technical versions of Gaami. One is the 2.39:1 standard aspect ratio version (The aspect ratio of regular films), and the other is the 1.90:1 aspect ratio version (similar to visuals on the IMAX digital screen). The 1.90:1 aspect ratio version will be played in Prasads PCX, AMB Cinemas, and a theatre in Vellore, while the other theatres will play the film in the usual 2.39:1 aspect ratio.

However, this expanded 1.90:1 ratio will only apply to a few select scenes (a 15-minute sequence). To put it in simpler words, this particular fifteen-minute sequence of Gaami will fill the entire Prasads PCX screen while the other scenes will be played in a typical 2.39:1 ratio. If we observe the teaser clearly, this was actually communicated as the childhood portions of the protagonist are shown in a bigger ratio.

The director said, “I actually want to do the film in 1:43:1 aspect ratio which will fill the entire PCX screen, which is the biggest in the country. I couldn’t do it for a few reasons. We want to use the aspect ratio as a tool. I don’t know if I am right or wrong.”
