Tollywood star Allu Arjun was arrested by the Chikkadpally Police on Friday evening in connection with the tragic death of a woman named Revathi at the Sandhya 70mm theater during the Pushpa 2 The Rule premiere on December 4. After being remanded for 14 days, Allu Arjun has been granted bail within an hour.

Meanwhile, support has been pouring in for Allu Arjun from across the country. At an event while promoting his upcoming action drama, Baby John, this evening, Bollywood star Varun Dhawan said that an actor cannot handle the safety protocol himself, and the blame cannot be placed upon one person, openly voicing his support for Allu Arjun. However, Varun also added that the tragedy is very painful and extended heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family.

Soon after Allu Arjun’s arrest, his fans and several celebrities from the film industry took to social media and expressed solidarity with the Pushpa 2 actor. The Chikkadpally Police had earlier arrested Sandhya 70mm theater owner, and two managers in connection with the case.
