Pan-India stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s blockbuster sci-fi mythological magnum opus, Kalki 2898 AD, has emerged as the all-time 6th highest grossing Indian movie. The film is next only to Dangal, Baahubali 2, RRR, KGF 2, and Jawan, and is expected to end up as the fifth highest grossing Indian movie of all-time.
Prabhas released a special video this evening to thank all his fans for making Kalki a historic success. “My fans, thank you so much for giving me such a huge hit. Without you, I am zero,” said the humble actor. He went on to say that director Nag Ashwin had worked very hard for 5 years. The Rebel Star further added that he thanks the film’s gutsy producer, Ashwini Dutt, for risking so much money on the movie.
“We were all worried, and I once told Dutt garu that he was spending a lot of money, and he told me not to worry and assured me that we were giving a big hit and that we should give the highest quality film. I also thank producers Swapna and Priyanka and Nag Ashwin for giving me the opportunity to work with the greatest legends in Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Hassan. We all grew up watching you, and we learned a lot from you. Thanks a lot to Deepika, the most gorgeous lady. We have much bigger part 2,” the Bhairava said.
