Sandalwood star Yash’s pan-India gangster drama, Toxic, is one of the most expensive and anticipated films in India. The film also features Bollywood actress Kiara Advani in a lead role and is being directed by the National Award-winning Malayalam filmmaker Geethu Mohandas and produced under K Venkat Narayana’s KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations banner.
It was recently reported that Toxic is being simultaneously shot in Kannada and English. The film will have a wide pan-Indian release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. And now, Toxic is set to script history by simultaneously releasing in several international languages. More details about the film’s foreign release will be revealed ahead of its theatrical release.
Talking about making Toxic as a Kannada-English bilingual, director Geethu Mohandas said, “We’ve strived to capture the nuances of the story in both Kannada and English, ensuring an authentic experience for viewers across different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.”
Given the film’s global appeal, Toxic makers have roped in acclaimed stunt coordinator JJ Perry, who worked on Hollywood biggies such as John Wick and Fast & Furious. The film’s visual effects are being supervised by DNEG, the BAFTA-winning VFX studio behind ‘Dune: Part 2.’.
