What is not: Gay rights activists or even people who are sensitive towards gay issues will definitely be up in arms against the film. Also, Yashraj and now Dharma seem to be stretching (or should I say shrinking) the line between sensuous and obscene. The Shilpa Shetty song has so many climpily clad females, not to mention John who is continually trying to pull his shorts down that one really wonders what happened to the family movies tradition that used to exist at some point in time. Also, some of the gags do fall flat and run longer than they should.
Me Thinks:If you even think about thinking during the duration of the movie, you will find enough and more loopholes to end up not liking the movie. Dostana is strongly advised for people who want to see a madcap comedy about a hitherto unseen topic on Indian screens (but for the Kantaben joke in Kal Ho Na Ho). Dostana is fun as long as it lasts.
Tailpiece: There is a nice touch in the movie, that of using Amitabh Bachchan's songs as background score for most of the 'important' scenes in the film. And Priyanka Chopra should be doing more such roles.
