Yuvatha is a much better outing for Nikhil, the hero who played Rajesh in Happy Days. It is a typical movie about friendship and how true friends can do anything for each other. There is some flavor or Rang De Basanthi that is reflected in the friendship angle and overall it is worth a watch.

What is it about:The story is about Babu (Nikhil) who grows up with his uncle after the demise of his parents. He quarrels with his uncle one day and moves to Hyderabad with his friends, each of whom have their own dreams in life. The regular boy meets girl sequence happens and the hero finds a pair for himself. How these four friends and the two girls in their gang get trapped in a bank robbery and how they acquit themselves later is the story.

What is Good: Nikhil is good as the young and cheerful character and almost reprises his role in Happy Days. The heroine Aksha is good but her part is too brief to leave any impact. Sayaji Shinde's comedy is pretty good. Narsing, Jeeva, Monali (of Happy Days fame) are all adequate. Manisharma’s music deserves special mention and is an asset to the movie. The picturization of the songs is also pretty good. The director maintains a good comic tone throughout the film and the screenplay is very good in the first half, but it could have been better in the second half.

What is bad:The suspense angle comes in suddenly, but it does not gel well. The screenplay leaves a lot of loose threads. The second half could have been a lot tighter. The two female leads could have been given better roles rather than relegating them to the background.

Me Thinks: Decent entertainer and a good one time watch. Yuvatha should provide Nikhil's career some momentum. The director saves the movie by maintaining a good comic tone throughout the flick.
