Young actors Chetan Krishna and Hebah Patel’s wholesome entertainer ‘Dhoom Dham’ released in cinemas earlier today. Check out our review to know how the film is.

Story:

Karthik’s (Chetan Krishna) father (Sai Kumar) loves his son immensely. He wants only his son to be number one always. Karthik also adores his father equally. Karthik’s life changes with the entry of Suhana (Hebah Patel). What dramatic developments transform Karthik’s life? The film explores the mistakes Karthik and his father make for each other. How do these mistakes affect Suhana and her family? What kind of turn does the story take in the end? Watch the movie on the big screen to unfold these answers.

Plus Points:

The film has a few comedy scenes, romantic scenes, and wedding sequences that evolve out of the emotional bond shared by the father and son. The entertainment and emotional elements are impressive. Hero Chetan Krishna performed well, and even his body language is quite good. Sai Kumar plays yet another author-backed role and does total justice to his role.

Heroine Hebah Patel entertains with her glamor. Goparaju Ramana, who played heroine’s grandfather, performed very well and displayed impressive mannerisms. Vennela Kishore appeared in a key role in the second half and succeeded in bringing out laughs. The comedy scenes featuring the lead characters and Vennela Kishore are entertaining.

The supporting actors Sivannarayana, Banerjee, Sai Srinivas, Praveen, Naveen Neni, Giridhar, and Bhadram came up with decent acts. The hero’s character, his romance track, the family scenes, the characters in the wedding sequence, and the comedy elements in this movie are the main highlights of the movie.

Minus Points:

Even though the story has enough depth, the screenplay by Gopi Mohan falters in crucial sequences. It would have been better if he knitted a full-on fun and exciting screenplay throughout the movie. However, the interesting fun elements that entertained in the second half were missing in the first half, causing a major hurdle for the movie.

The silly tracks to build conflict between the hero and heroine’s families were not impressive. Some of the scenes in this sequence run on a bland note. In addition to this, the logic goes missing in several scenes. Also, the romance track between the hero and heroine lacks steam. The story had scope for out-and-out entertainment. The second half had some fun sequences. But the director could not narrate the movie in a fun and engaging manner throughout the film.

Technical Aspects:

The film scores decently on the technical front, with music composer Gopi Sundar walking away with more brownie points for his work. Siddharth Ramaswamy’s cinematography is the other highlight of the movie. Editing by Amar Reddy Kudumula is adequate for the narrative. The production values by producer MS Ram Kumar are quite impressive. Sai Kishor Macha’s direction is good, but he could have chosen a much more entertaining script.

Verdict:

Dhoom Dham’s main concept, the entertaining second half, the comedy tracks, and the fun elements in the wedding sequences managed to entertain to an extent. However, the film ends up being an underwhelming fare due to the regular screenplay, poorly written characterizations for the lead actors, and the lack of an entertaining first half. Overall, the movie may partly entertain the audience thanks to the presence of some comedy scenes.
