Vangaveeti actor Sandeep Madhav’s new movie Ghandarwa is out today in theaters. Let’s see how the movie is.
Story:
Captain Avinash (Sandeep Madhav) ties the knot to Amulya (Gayathri R Suresh) in 1971 and gets a call from the Army to join the Indo-Pak war. Unfortunately, he slips into a valley during the war. He wakes up after 50 years and finds his family, who thinks he is dead. Amulya shocks after knowing the truth and she decides to prove everyone that Avinash is her husband. What did she do? What happened to Avinash? Is the guy really her husband? To know the answers, you need to watch the main movie.
Plus Points:
The story has nice point to tell which no one has ever touched in Tollywood. Talking about the performances, Sandeep Madhav is somewhat okay. Besides, Sai Kumar’s screen presence is fine and so are his dialogues.
The comedy of Jabardasth artists Ram Prasad and Rohini are a relief and enjoyable. The rest of the actors give their best. A couple of songs are okay to listen to. An action episode in the second half is well-choreographed.
Minus Points:
The story has a quite interesting point and it needs to be narrated in a well and serious manner. But, the plot turned out to be funny because of poor narration and inappropriate love scenes.
Sandeep’s performance could have been better but it looks unrealistic in many scenes. The same happens with the heroine. How come a 68-year-old woman’s voice sounds like a young girl’s? Her make-up is also so bad and changes in every scene. Yesteryear hero Suresh and comedian Mohan Babu are also there in the movie with no proper roles. Also, the story has a few plot holes.
There is no single point to make a viewer entertain and the VFX used while explaining why Avinash is still younger looks funnier. The team could have taken much care to narrate this nice point in a good manner.
Technical Aspects:
The director’s intention to narrate a new point to the Telugu audiences has gone in vain because of silly and pale narration. Cinematography, editing and background are okay. The editing could have been better.
Verdict:
On the whole, Gandharwa is boring and fails to amuse. If the director narrates it in a serious and gripping manner, the film could have been better. The film has nothing to entertain the audience. It’s better to look out for other movies this weekend.
