After a long wait, the OTT platform Aha finally releases Intinti Ramayanam in theaters, but not on its platform. Producer Naga Vamsi of Sitara Entertainment presents, and director Maruthi backs this village drama, which released in theaters today. Let’s see how the movie is.

Story

Ramulu (Naresh) is an innocent and good man, surrounded by lovely people. Whether it’s family or others, he always lends a helping hand when needed. Srinivas (Rahul Ramakrishna) and Ramulu’s daughter Sandhya (Navya Swamy) love each other. One day, an important item goes missing in Ramulu’s house. Circumstances make him suspect everyone in his family and Srinivas as well. What’s the lost item? Who is the thief? What did Ramulu do next? The answers will be found in the movie.

Plus Points

Director Suresh Naredla takes a simple family story that connects well with everyone. The way he narrates the story and designs the characters is simply amazing. Furthermore, he gives importance to all the characters. The screenplay is neat, and the director succeeds in narrating the story without much lag, especially in the first half. The decent comedy and the Telangana accent clicked well and made audiences laugh out loud all the way.

Senior actor Naresh once again mesmerises with his terrific performance. He lives in the character and leaves a strong impression on the audiences. His character is designed in a way that will connect with almost all the viewers.

Rahul Ramakrishna gets a decent role once again, and he delivers his best. Actress Navya Swamy impresses everyone with her mischievousness in the first half and mature performance in the latter half. She performs well in her role.

Surabhi Prabhavathi, Gangavva, Anji Mama, Anji, Chevella Ravi, Jeevan, and others justified their roles. The film has three songs, and they are good to listen to.

Minus Points

The story is good and realistic, but the problem lies in the laggy narration in the second half. Some of the scenes are easily predictable, and they create unnecessary lag and act as a hurdle to the flow of the film. Some audiences may find it difficult to understand specific Telangana words.

Moreover, the story could have been narrated impressively by creating more drama and injecting more emotional scenes. It looks like the director has focused more on making audiences laugh for two hours without making them too emotional. As the characters are well-written, giving more scope to sentimental scenes would have made Intinti Ramayanam a better film.

Technical Aspects

Writer and director Suresh Naredla deserves appreciation for selecting a decent tale that resonates with people. Additionally, the music by Kalyani Malik is good. The cinematography by P C Mouli is neat, and the editing could have been better. Naga Vamsi, director Maruthi, and IVY Production have taken care of the production values, which are rich on screen.

Verdict

On the whole, Intinti Ramayanam is a family drama that clicks to an extent. The comedy and the commendable performances of the lead actors are the strengths of the film. However, a few laggy scenes, especially in the second half, make one feel bored. If you are fine with the laggy scenes, you can give Intinti Ramayanam a watch this weekend.
