Tanish is trying hard to be in the game and is back with his new film Maro Prasthanam. Let’s see how the film turns out to be.

Story:

Siva(Tanish) is a small-time criminal who works as a right hand for Rane Bhai(Kabir Singh). He falls in love with Saini(Archana Singh) and decides to leave the bad world and settle down in Goa. But things take a U-turn when he comes across a dead body. Whose dead body is it? Does it have any connection with Siva? and will his gang leave him alone in all this? That forms the story.

Plus Points:

Tanish is good in his role and does well once he makes a transformation in the latter part of the film. Muskan Sethi is also neat in her role and does her character well. Archana Khanna as the heroine is also impressive. Kabir Singh Duhan does well in his negative role.

The crime episodes have been elevated quite well. Tanish has different emotional outbursts and the director has showcased them so well. Some key fights have been shot in a gripping manner.

Minus Points:

Though the director has maintained the suspense until the end, the build-up to all this is quite dull. There is nothing much happening in the first half and things get quite bored during this time.

Certain key scenes in the film have been dragged for no reason. In a way, there was a lot of scope to create more drama but the director failed to use the opportunity.

Technical Aspects:

Music is just about okay but the BGM was impressive. The editing is below par as many scenes in the first half could have been trimmed. Coming to the director Jani, he has taken a regular revenge drama and tried to showcase it in a different manner. But he does not maintain that consistency and falters the film in many areas. The production values are just okay.

verdict:

On the whole, Maro Prasthanam is a regular revenge drama with a strict few impressive scenes. Tanish does well but that does not help the film from creating an impact and ends as a pretty dull watch this weekend.
