Young hero Varun Sandesh, has been going through a low phase in his career from quite some time now. Some of his past few films have not done well, and he has pinned all his hopes on Nuvvala Nenila. The romantic entertainer has hit the screens today, and let’s see how it is.
Story:-
Varun Sandesh(Krish) is an NRI, who comes to India for business reasons. He meets his project manager Mahi(Poorna) who already has a boy friend. As time passes by, Krish makes Mahi realize that her boyfriend is not a perfect match for her and makes her break up with him.
An upset Mahi decides to up her game, and gets a make over. She keeps teasing Krish that she is no more a scape goat, and can attract any guy in the world. Poking fun at her, Krish challenges her to impress him to prove her point.
Rest of the story is as to whether Mahi manages to impresses Krish, and what happens to the couple during the course of time.
Plus Points:-
Varun Sandeh underplays his role quite nicely, and is impressive in the film. But the film totally belongs to Poorna who has a major role in the film. This talented actress does her best in her part which has so much to perform. Right from the emotional scenes, to the humorous part, Poorna delivers her best.
Some fun teasing scenes in the first half have been designed well. Production values are quite good, and the film looks rich. Emotions have been brought out quite well especially in the sad song.
Minus Points:-
This film suffers from many drawbacks. Firstly, the story of this film is quite bland, and has absolutely nothing to offer. Most of the film is predictable and bogs down completely. Varun Sandesh’s character has not been designed well. The love for the heroine, and the way the director has made him portray his role are quite unclear and sloppy.
Climax is the biggest let down. When you think the film is finally getting over, idiotic comedy situations arouse from now where and stretch the film to the core. Second half of the film is quite obvious, and some scenes do not have any clarity.
There is absolutely no entertainment in the film, and the pace with which it is narrated is also pathetic. Length of the film is quite long and at least 15 minutes could have been easily edited.
Technical Aspects:-
As said earlier, production values of this film look quite good in the film. Camerawork is pretty good and showcases the film in a decent light. Screenplay is quite pathetic, as many unnecessary scenes come in without any clarity.
Trinadh Rao Nakkina’s narration is tedious, as he takes for ever to establish the chemistry between the lead pair. Dialogues are written quite beautifully and suit the nature of the film. Music of the film is average, and so is the background score. While the first half has some fun scenes, the second is quite long and boring.
Verdict:-
On the whole Nuvvala and Nenila is yet another outdated and boring romance from Varun Sandesh. Films like these will never bring him back in form. Other than Poorna’s decent performance, this film has absolutely nothing new in it. You can safely ignore it.
