Continuing with the trend of small budget flicks, the makers of Aa Nalguru and Vinayakudu have come up with Aa Aiduguru. This youthful message oriented film has hit the screens today. Starring mostly new comers, this film has Venkat and Asmita Sood in supporting roles. Let’s now see how the film is.

Story:-

The newly appointed chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, designs a new force called NGF and allows the youth to get trained in the program and serve the country.

Seeing this opportunity, five youngsters from different walks of life, join this academy. Every one has their own set of problems and join the force for selfish reasons. They start training under the efficient officers Tota Chakravarthy (Venkat) and Kiran Mai (Asmita Sood)

Sadly, they are kicked out of the academy because of their bad performances and politics. This is also the time when the CM, who had started this force comes under a life threat.

Rest of the story, is as to how these five youngsters, who are kicked out of the academy form a force and save the CM.

Plus Points:-

Story line of the film is a basic plus point. Story idea and the way the NGF force has been created to eradicate corruption is quite good.

Venkat plays a crucial role in this film after a long gap. He looks and plays his role to perfection, but sadly he was not utilized well by the director. Same is the case with Asmita Sood as she provides the necessary eye candy, but is once again wasted.

Coming to the five youngsters, Kranti Reddy, who played the role of John has done an excellent job. He had an difficult role with family responsibilities, which he had showcased quite beautifully. He has a bright future and if he chooses his films well, he could go a long way.

Moving on, yet another actor Kranti does a good job in the role of Altaf, and connects well with audience. Nagineedu is good as the evil guy, and so is Posani in a cameo.

Climax of the film is really interesting and has been executed well.

Minus Points:-

Major drawback of the film is the execution part. After having such an interesting story, the director lets its down with his poor execution. What is written on paper has not been transformed into the film.

As the film is set in the police academy and Venkat is the assigned officer, his role is very short. There was a lot of scope in that angle and the director missed it for come stupid comedy.

The Paipula comedy episode is quite a drawback and could have been easily edited out in the final cut. Rather than focusing on the NGF and the CM’s murder execution, the film goes off track and dwells in the detail lives of the five youngsters.

Technical Aspects:-

Camera work is pretty OK, and showcases the film in good light. The academy episodes and the entire set up looks rich and has been shot well.

Songs of the film are below par and especially the marriage song in the second half further spoils the flow of the film. Dialogues are OK and so is the background score.

Editing is quite bad as a number of scenes in the film could have been chopped off. Director Anil Jason disappoints us completely even though he had a quite strong script.

Verdict :-

On the whole, Aa Aiduguru is one film with good script and pretty bad execution. Under utilization of stars, and waving off from the main plot are the major drawbacks of this film. Except for a few promising actors, this film can be watched when the DVD’s are out.
