Debutante Krishna Madhav’s ‘Hrudayam Ekkadunnadhi’ has released today across the state and the movie has been directed by Vi Anand. Anusha and Samskruthi are the heroines. Krishna Madhav is Mahesh Babu’s relative and he is trying to gain an entry into the Film Industry as a hero. Let us check out the review of this movie now.

Story :

Madhav (Krishna Madhav) is a wannabe architect. He happens to have a childhood crush on Gayathri (Anusha) and he meets her unexpectedly in a coffee shop. He discovers that Gayathri also has a crush on him. After going out for a few days together, they fall in love and propose to each other.

Gayathri is the daughter of a rich businessman (Ahuthi Prasad) who owns a chain of Biryani restaurants in the city of Hyderabad. She introduces Madhav to her dad and convinces him to offer the contract of an upcoming building to Madhav.

Madhav is an idealist and he soon faces problems from the labour force. His short temper also causes problems. At this point of time, Nithya (Samskruthi) comes into his life and he starts spending a lot of time with her. Nithya’s father is a retired civil engineer and he gives Madhav some tips about handling workers on the construction site.

Madhav is now torn between Gayathri and Nithya. What will Madhav do now? That is the story of this film.

Plus Points :

Anusha makes a decent impression in the movie. Her performance as Gayathri is definitely an asset for the movie. Samskruthi is ok in the role of Nithya. As for Krishna Madhav, he is very raw but his performance is adequate for a newcomer. He definitely needs to improve tremendously if he wants to have a career.

A few moments in the film are decent. Harshavardhan is good in the role of God Manmadha. Ahuthi Prasad is ok. The song ‘Gayathri Gayathri’ is good and it has been shot well.

Minus Points :

The film’s execution is quite ridiculous and immature. There are a lot of idiotic and foolish scenes, like the sequence where Madhav organises an item girl for the factory’s workers as a special treat. That song has been shot in an extremely cheap and tasteless manner.

The chemistry between the lead actors is not strong enough. Poor acting skills make things worse. The character of Nithya is quite unnecessary in the larger scheme of things as she is removed from the film in a very unceremonious manner.

The film has virtually nothing to offer to viewers. There is no entertainment in the film and none of the comedy scenes work. Pace of narration is also quite slow and the movie tends to get boring at times.

The entire movie seems like a moral class on civil engineering and building construction.

Technical Aspects :

Production values of the film are very mediocre. Cinematography is average. Editing is atrocious and the film has a very jerky feel. Dialogues are cliched and very bad. Music is just average and background score is poor.

Vi Anand’s direction is very bad and his botched up execution of the plot is one of the biggest drawbacks for the film.

Verdict :

‘Hrudayam Ekkadunnadhi’ is the kind of film any newcomer would like to forget about. It is slow and boring. Krishna Madhav is ok but he needs to polish his skills on an emergency basis. You can safely stay away from this heartless love story.
