The kind of impact Dhanush and Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai has left on movie enthusiasts is massive. The crime drama was released in 2018 and created a sensation of all sorts. Vada Chennai is the highest-grossing A-rated Tamil film at the time of its release. After 6 years, Dhanush is coming up with another A-rated movie, Raayan. Dhanush is the writer and director of Raayan, and it is his 50th movie as an actor.

A while ago, Dhanush took to his Twitter and posted a new poster with the caption, “Blood is thicker than everything.” The multifaceted actor promised a bloodbath with this action thriller, which has a runtime of 2 hours and 25 minutes. Dhanush fans are pretty excited to see the film after getting to know about the censor details.

Kalanithi Maaran produced Raayan under Sun Pictures, and until now, the production house has only delivered family-friendly movies. As this is the first time the makers are coming up with a full-blown action entertainer, it also adds to the excitement. SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Selvaraghavan, Prakash Raj, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Jayaram are part of this project.

The movie releases on 26th July in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages. Asian Suresh Entertainment LLP will release Raayan in Telugu. Academy-winning music composer AR Rahman provided the tunes.
