Dulquer Salmaan was supposed to play a vital role in Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life. However, the Malayali actor was replaced by Simbu. Due to the scheduling conflict (dates issue), Dulquer missed a golden chance to be part of this project. Jayam Ravi is also no longer part of Thug Life as he, too, could not allot his dates for this gangster action drama.

The latest buzz in the Kollywood film circle suggests that Ashok Selvan will replace Jayam Ravi in this action drama. Though there is no official confirmation, the rumor has gone viral all over. Ashok Selvan has delivered hit films like Oh My Kadavule and Por Thozhil in the past, and if he comes on board for Thug Life, his career will undoubtedly take a big stride.

Thug Life also has Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gautham Karthik, and Nasser in pivotal roles. Bollywood actors Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Sanya Malhotra are also said to be part of this big-ticket entertainer. Thug Life will open in cinemas later this year.
