Generally, Summer is considered a great season for Telugu films, but that is not the case this year. Tillu Square emerged as a mammoth blockbuster and has collected over 100 crores gross till now. It’s been two weeks since the film came out, and many have already watched it. Hence, the occupancies came down.

Vijay Deverakonda’s The Family Star received mixed to negative responses right from the very first show, and this has affected the film extremely. Though the film saw good footfalls on Ugadi day, once again, the occupancies dropped significantly after the festival. The movie became another failure in the actor’s career.

This week, multiple films like Geethanjali Malli Vachindi, Love Guru, Sriranga Neethulu, and DeAr have hit the screens, but none of them managed to catch the attention, and there is no buzz among the public.

Despite being a sequel, Geethanjali Malli Vachindi couldn’t make an impact at the ticket windows. All the new films that were released this week are heading towards loss ventures as they couldn’t even get a minimum opening. We must see if Tollywood can have any respite with films like Aa Okkati Adakku and Gangs Of Godavari.
