When we hark back to the last four months, South Indian films like Hanu Man, Tillu Square, Premalu, Manjummel Boys, and The Goat Life gleamed at the box office and made huge profits for their distributors. To double the contentment, several biggies are gearing up for release in the latter half of the year. While a few have locked their release dates, some of the films are yet to announce their big days.

Sukumar’s directorial and Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule, Koratala Siva’s Devara starring NTR, Nag Ashwin’s directorial Kalki 2898 starring Prabhas, Shankar’s Game Changer and Indian 2 featuring Ram Charan and Kamal Haasan, respectively, and Suriya’s Kanguva directed by Siruthai Siva are expected to create havoc at the Indian box office.

While Indian 2 is coming to entertain the audiences this June, Pushpa 2 is releasing on August 15th. Devara is slated for a grand release on October 10th. Kalki 2898 AD and Game Changer Kanguva are yet to lock the exact release dates.

This will be a big bonanza for the movie buffs as an excited movie lineup from their favorite heroes is waiting for them. No need to say that there are unprecedented expectations for all the films, and just a decent word of mouth is needed for them to rake in big bucks at the ticket windows.

These movies enjoy a good buzz across the country, and if their promotional material lives up to the expectations, then we can expect solid collections from other languages, too. Let’s see what happens.
