Victory Venkatesh is all set to entertain the audience this Sankranthi with his offering ‘Bodyguard’ . The movie is releasing on January 14th and the film is carrying a positive buzz. Venkatesh interacted with the press at Ramanaidu studios recently and here is the transcript for you folks.

Q) What are your expectations from the movie ‘Bodyguard’?

A) This is a complete wholesome entertainer which is coming out for Sankranthi. The movie has a fresh love story, action, drama and family sentiment. The script is good and screenplay is tight. The movie has received a clean U certificate. No one will leave the theaters disappointed.

Q) The audio album has been received well. What is your favourite song from the movie?

A) All the songs in the film are good but I particularly love ‘Evvaro’. The song comes in at a critical time in the film. I have an introduction song after a long time again and this song will be a delight for fans. Thaman has provided a good background score as well.

Q) Bodyguard has earned success in three languages till now. This is the fourth version. What changes have been made to the script?

A) This script came to me first. I was supposed to do the original version but I could not because of various issues. We have now made some changes to the script keeping my Body language and image in mind. You will find good comedy in this film.

Q) Trailers show some heavy action sequences and punch dialogues. Have you given more importance to ‘mass elements’ this time?

A) (laughs) We have only incorporated them where necessary as per the script. The action sequences have been shot extremely stylishly. Punch dialogues are there in a few places. This movie will attract family crowds as well with its good sentiment.

Q)How do you rate director Gopichand Malineni?

A) Director Gopichand has done a fine job. I have seen his earlier flick ‘Don Seenu’ and I was impressed with his handling of the script. It is not easy for me to do love stories at this age. But Gopichand has handled the script well and he has brought out the film beautifully.

Q) What about the technical aspects?

A) Cameraman Shyam K Naidu has done a great job with the visuals. Kona Venkat has provided brilliant dialogues. Bellamkonda Suresh has not compromised on any aspect of the film.

Q) What are your upcoming projects?

A) My multi-starrer with Mahesh .’Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, will begin production from the 18th. I will also start work on Meher Ramesh’s film soon. My dream project ‘Swamy Vivekananda’ will begin production from September.

With that, the session ended. Let us wish Venkatesh and the team of ‘Bodyguard’ the very best for their upcoming release.
