With Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas is once again aiming to conquer the box office records by taking us into a new world. The movie is set for June 27th release.

The movie will have its premieres on June 26th in North America. The latest update from the North American distributors reveals that this sci-fi entertainer’s pre-sales have already gone past the prestigious one-million-dollar mark. More than two weeks are left for the release, and initial advances suggest that Kalki 2898 AD is all set to take an earth-shattering opening.

At this rate, the Prabhas starrer is expected to cross the premiere record of massive multistarrer RRR, which raked in a little over 3 million dollars with premieres. Well, Prabhas is inarguably the biggest star in Tollywood, and his film overtaking Rajamouli’s numbers shouldn’t be a big surprise. This tent-pole film is made on a budget of 600 crores.

Trade expects that the presence of Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan will give the film an extra push in other markets. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is a blend of mythology and science. It will be interesting to see if Kalki 2898 AD can attract the non-Indian audience.
