The realistic cop action drama Viduthalai 1 was released last year and became one of the commercial hits in Kollywood. Comedian Soori played the main lead for the first time, and national award winner Vetrimaaran directed the film. The sequel to the movie has already been announced, with most of the shooting for the second part already completed during the filming of the first part.

According to the latest buzz, the makers plan to release Viduthalai 2 on Diwali 2024. Suriya’s Kanguva and Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi are also in the Diwali race, so there is tough competition among the films. We’ll have to wait to see which will be released on Diwali. Versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi is the antagonist.

Viduthalai 1 and 2 are jointly produced by RS Infotainment and Grassroot Film Company. Bhavani Sre, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajeev Menon, and Chethan played significant roles. Ilaiyaraaja crafted the musical score. Viduthalai 1 was dubbed in Telugu as Vidudhala.
